Residential Management Fees

Chris Lengquist at Kansas City Real Estate & Investing in a recent post states that management fees for residential properties – I think single family – runs 7% to 10%. This seems relatively high compared to commercial properties that typically run 5%. There are additional fees on top of the 7% to 10% for eviction protection and rent protection.
Maybe the money to be made is in single family management in Kansas City?
